The Leipzig Toastmasters Club is part of Toastmasters International and was chartered in October 2007.
Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, we meet at 7 pm in the inviting atmosphere of the Basislager coworking space in Leipzig's Peterssteinweg. A normal meeting lasts approximately two and a half hours, including a 30-minute break for dinner. We give prepared and impromptu speeches, and we give each other a fair and honest feedback on the strong points a speaker has, and on points to improve. The Meetings page shows you what a Leipzig Toastmasters meeting usually looks like.
Toastmasters like to socialise. Often after the meetings, people stay a bit at the hotel bar for a chat, and our Christmas and Summer Parties are true highlights of the Toastmasters year.
For Toastmasters with a competitive spirit, regular contests are organised on all levels. Toastmasters from our Leipzig club have repeatedly participated in speech and evaluation contests on Club level, Area level and Division level, and have won several impressive awards.
To facilitate administration, Toastmasters International has a structure. Our Leipzig Toastmasters Club is chartered as club #1066272. We belong to Area C3 (Saxony, Saxony Anhalt, Thuringia). Area C3 is part of Division C (North-East Germany). Division C is one Division within District 95 (Western & Southern Europe).
